Make Christ Known

First Baptist Church seeks to make Christ known by doing works of love in the city of Winston-Salem and beyond. Our missions focus areas are hunger, shelter, education, and healing. Our current focus ministries are the Backpack Program with Forest Park Elementary School, Crisis Control, and the Winston-Salem Street School. First Baptist supports these ministries financially and hands-on through volunteering. You learn more about each of these ministries and their needs below.

Seeking to follow Jesus' teachings in the Sermon on the Mount and Matthews 25:35-40, we take seriously the simple but profound call to love our neighbors. We hope that you will work with us on one of the focus ministries along with others in which you already participate. Jesus is with us everywhere we go, and sometimes we meet Him in the most unlikely places! We hope to find you in one of those places!

The Winston-Salem Center for Education and the Arts enriches the Winston-Salem community by providing operating space and nurturing nonprofit organizations that offer intellectual and spiritual growth through education and the arts.

In the fall of 2012, First Baptist Church partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank of NW North Carolina to provide food for hungry children in Forsyth County.

Crisis Control Ministry is a Christian organization that works daily to assist those in immediate need of food, shelter and prescription medication and offers encouragement toward self-sufficiency.

The Winston-Salem Street School is a private alternative high school based on Christian principles that provides students with the opportunity to complete their high school education.
